50 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow, no head. Rum, slight apple and elderflowerish flavour. Apple heavy flavour, medium sweet to dry. Slight carbonated mouthfeel. Slight chemical note note in a slight fizzy finish. Not bad, decent.

Light blond color. Evident rum aroma, with light fudge and candies. Some sweetness, some apple juice flavor, light hazelnut touch; at the end there is some lasting ripe apple; rough and not very interesting.

Bottle from Sainsburys Pale golden colour, aroma initially a bit sacchriny sweet but this may still be my nose being assaulted by the Kopparberg my friend was bravely drinking (I warned them about drinking such a drainpour)There were some juicy apples as well. I really quite like these single varietal ciders from Thatchers and have drinked just about all of them, though may have to revisit them to rate, this one isn’t my favourite though as I find it’s lacking a bit. Refreshing crisp and sharper than I recalled but certainly not in the premier league of ciders.

Polypin at Merton Summer Beer Festival 04-07-07 Tried this on the Wednesday night. Poured with a radioactive looking orange colour more like J20 than Cider, this colour must be artificial surely? Taste was dryish bit sharp and reasonable appley flavours.

Bottle picked this up from Sainsburys Kidlington, hidden amongst the other ciders 20-04-07. Thought that this was brewed by Thatchers or someone like that from the description on the bottle. Anyway it wasn’t green which would have given it something to talk about rather it was classic golden but very fizzy. There was an aroma of apples and you could get the barrel ageing bit but otherwise It was nothing out of the ordinary.

Bottle, pale yellow in colour, some apple notes. I rather like this cider as I find it quite refreshing and much better than some of the other more commercial ones you can pick up, I suppose it’s a little on the strong side to be drinking a few of but it’s a fine enough cider in my opinion.

Polypin at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Cloudy orange/gold colour. This is better than the draught I had the same day. Apple/tangerine aromas and flavour. Off dry, sweetish fruit, in the mouth, bit of dryness on end. Curiously drinkable. It’s how I remember Thatcher’s being. Orangeade with apple juice.

From polypin at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Hazy gold colour. Quite a rubbery dry cider. Rubber and nuts. Brazil I think. Oh and some apple. Very dry finish. Not sour, just extremely parching. Quite pleasant, but nothing astonishing
