Bottle from the Bristol Wine Company. Pale yellow with no head but plenty of fizz. Light, dry apple aroma with some yeasty skin. Flavour was sweetish, with some acidity in the background, and a gentle, bitter sweet finish. Drinkable, if with a slightly muted character.

On tap at the Orchard, Bristol 08/05/09. Golden cider with no head and slight carbonation. For a clear cider this had some dry character up front, with a touch of sweetness in the finish. Available at the Orchard in place of the dumbed down, sweetened Blackthorn.

Bottle from the Bristol Wine Company. Pale gold with moderate carbonation. Description below as ’soft’ is apt. This had some some gentle sweetness up front, before a bitter edge of apple peel and hint of spice in the muted finish. Different and none the worse for it.
