Description

750 ml. bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) This one is supposed to be a mix between a Sout & IPA apparently. Dark blackish brown, tanned head. Nose is very sweet, lightly boozy, tad charcoal, chocolate,… Taste is roast, charcoal mixed with chocolate milk, cheap coffee, faint herbs,… Chocolate milk body. This is good stuff, there is nothing IPA about this in my opinion.

Bottle shared at DOS tasting. Pours murky brown with no head. Aroma of ammonia, can’t get past that. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at the Dirty Old Socks Tasting, Den Haag, December 2014. Poured a murky dark brown witn a round bubbly white head. The aroma is very medicinal, vinous, oak. The flavour is moderate bitter with a malty medicinal dry alcoholic bitter palate. This is so hard to rate, but I’m not keen!

13/XII/14 - 75cl bottle @ Dijleschuimers Bierproeffestival (Kessel-Lo) - BB: n/a (2014-1507) Thanks to the Antwerp Zythos crew and others for sharing beers at the table!
Clear blond beer, creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very yeasty, rubbery, bit chemical, paint thinner, bad stuff! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malty start, some almonds, pretty chemical, seriously off. Aftertaste: yeasty, bit chemical, sugary, overripe banana. Nope, this is a drain pour.
