Description

Clear red body. Pink, creamy head. Aroma of cherries: lightly sour - sourness clearly from the sour cherries and not a lambic style sourness. Quite nice and well drinkable.

Huge, just off-white head, leaving lacerings, fed by very lively carbonated, orange-ochre beer with a slight haze. Quite spicy nose, some white candi sugar. Then, fresh and delicate hops start wafting up, very aromatic, fragrant and herbal. Some citrus- and nectarinearoma. Again the same aromatic, faintly spiced hops in command of the taste. Bitter/ish, citrussy, lunaria and herbal. Very carbonated, to the brink of overcarbonated. Medium bodied, bit filmlike-oily feel. Excellent, not in the way of being a tastebomb, but because of delicate flavoursomeness. Dank U, Stef!

Bottle at Hasselt Beer Festival, Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium 12.11.11 in company of Loz, Jackie, Simon and David. Pours warm gold/light orange with a light haze and a small white head. Some nice tangy orange in the mouth, little spice, nice soft carbonation, tangy with a good juicy fruitiness throughout. Nice beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle at Hasselt Beer Festival, Hasselt, Limburg, Belgium 12.11.11 in company of Loz, Jackie, Simon and David. Pours deep gold with almost a light reddish hue in a certain light, white head atop. Unusual aroma in that it is both quite floral and also with loads of confectionery store notes thrown in for good measure. Taste also very decent, the confectionery store is in there but it is also a little bit herby and then yeasty with nice fruitiness throughout, nice beer. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Bottle, 75cl, as Triest Kriek. A glowing, cherry red beer topped by a dense, pinkish white head leaving some lacings. Sour cherries and some sourish notes on the nose. A light herbal hint in the far back, and also a touch of almonds. The flavor is quite pleasant, a blend of cherries of lemon. Dry on the palate, pleasantly carbonated and medium bodied. A quite decent cherry beer, tart and tasteful, but too bland aroma. 111105
