Keg. Queens Hotel_Holifay Inn, Farnborough - the nearest bar to the office for a snowy walk. As the rebranded Blackthorn Gold. Sweet apple peel aroma. Marmalade gold. Scant white head. Bubbly. Sour with underlying sweetness. Light and thin. Fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Bog standard, verging on fizzy pop.

500ml can from Ken Warne, Darlington. Golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of juicy apple flavour. Taste is apple, sugar sweetener, some tartness and cardboardy notes. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry finish with residual sweetness. OK.

500ml can, 8.0% from local shop. Golden colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of tangy apple, sweeteners. Taste is apple fruit flavouring, sugar sweetness, astringent with tongue numbing booziness and some cardboard & peppery notes. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi-dry cloying finish. Not the best.

Can delivered from Englandshire via Leighton. Thank you! Cask strength white cider. Burnt toast, caramel cardboard, dull apple. The flavour is terrible but it isn't full of fusels at least.

16.9 oz can. Clear gold pour with a tiny white head and no retention or lacing. Soda-looking. Tastes like tart apple champagne. Crisp. Too dry for my liking. 6.0 ABV is well hidden.

500 ml bottle. Clear golden body with a small and fast disappearing white head. Aroma is ripe apple, a hint of wood and sulphites. Flavor is sweet, ripe apple, syrup, mild hint of wood, some harsh sulphite. Medium body and medium aftertaste with the same flavors. I find this too sweet, a bit harsh and not very fresh at all.
