If you enjoy sour stuff…go get this one. I had problems with my stomach for a couple of hours after drinking this one. Had to find my sweetest barley wine to stabilize my body. A strange combo of green apples, yeast, yuzu, bernyard and lemon. Felt a bit unbalanced in my world. This bottle had stayed in the basement for some years. Maybe a bit oxidized also. So drink it as fast as you can if you find a fresh bottle. [Bottle from Kaaz] First rating 2019

Small slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich sour-ish, sorrel, oak, sour socks, unripe berries, whitewine, mild vinegar, thinner, citrus acid. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish, oak, sorrel, sour socks, mild vinegar, bark, citrus acid, rope, hops, hints of thinner. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Nice.
Small slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich sour-ish, sorrel, oak, sour socks, unripe berries, whitewine, mild vinegar, thinner, citrus acid. 750ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of caramel, roasted nuts, a spicy touch of soy sauce, blueberry overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, slightly fruity, notes of caramel, hints of blueberry; smooth and soft palate.

Bottle at home. Slighlty hazy yellow with white head. Herbal and grainy, pretty bitter. Holds up very well with the age.

(Bottle) Hazy orange colour with creamy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy, slightly sour nose with plums, apricots, red apples, white bread, hay and some coriander. Fruity, slightly sour taste with notes of red apples, plums, bread, hay and a dry finish with a touch of salt and a light tartness. Medium body, dry. Low bitterness. Interesting and quite refreshing. Quite nice.

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, black rye bread, prunes, raisins, sweet liquorice, burnt sugar and coffee. Sweet, malty, roasted taste with caramel, strong black coffee, prunes, liquorice, black rye bread, dark chocolate, burnt sugar, treacle and a balanced coffee bitterness. More than medium body, sweet. It's sweet, but I guess that's the idea, considering the name. Still tasty with lots of flavours well integrated. Really nice.
