75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBESG 2013. Thx! to Abijen. Stupid name. I should really try more stuff by these guys. Pours a hazy brown with a light ruby hue. Almost no head. Nose is thick sweet liquorish, berries, herbs & very sweet malts. Taste is very sweet liquorish, herbs, maple syrup, sap, berries. Body is a touch fizzy. Nice stuff.

75cl Bottle at RBESG ’13 Grand Tasting. Dark amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of lots of spices, caraway, gale, cardemon, cough syrup. Flavour is sweet, spicy, liqourice, cough syrup, molasses, gale. Medium-bodied. I liked it.

Poured a chestnut brown with a thin tan head and lots of carbonation. The aroma is rich yeast and fruit leading to a zesty, lively fruity resin flavour that dances around on your tongue. A super beer and e name says it all. I’m surprised this beer was not more popular.

Bottled @ RBESG 2013 Grand Tasting. Spicy, cardemom? Bit caramel, very spicy and dry. I’m not a spiced up belgian style lover (more of a hater), but this one was ok actually.

Bottle @ RBESG grand tasting. Unclear reddish color, small beige head. Smell a lot of herbs or spices. Tastes about the same, lightly malty, quite a lot of herbs and spices again and sweetness. Not my beer.

Thanks to Man-ki for sharing. 2012 Vintage. 33 cl. bottle sampled. Pours a very dark brown, blackish, very uneven and patchy mocha head. Smell is very interesting & very heavy, crazy amounts of very sweet spices, liquorish, dried grape vines, herbs, jagermeister. Intensely sweet dark liquorish taste, very sweet dark malts, jagermeister, dried grape vines, strongly herbal, the type of chocolates that have strong liquor in them, red grapes, overripe red grapes,… Going towards creamy, less carb. Very unique, almost too much but I appreciate it. Love or hate brew. BBF 12/2015.

33cl bottle split with 77ships and Man Ki. BB 12/2015. Brune foncée, col léger beige. Arôme est malté, grillé assez fleuri avec ce bouquet rappelant les herbes de montagne. Palais est ici aussi assez agréable, alternant note sucrée-caramélisée, malt grillé, herbacé médicinal pouvant porter sur une liqueur aux herbes de montagne. Pointe de réglisse pour un final ne laissant pas croire que la bière titre 11%.

Bottle 750ml.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, cramel, chocolate, spicy, sweet malt, brown sugar, corinader, ginger, nutmeg. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy, sticky. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130215]
