Deep brown with no head. Sweet molasses, dark fruits, light vanilla, deep toasted cracker. Full and slick body. A bit shallow overall but nice. I don’t pick up much of the bourbon nor rum.

Black with a very small head. Big sweet malt notes, roasted, light oak, warm cinnamon, and molasses. Full, slick body. It’s solid but the spicy cinnamon overpowers any real whisky bits here.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Smooth and fairly light palate for the style. Decent fine carbonation. The dark malts are surprisingly mellow, some cocoa but, overall lacking in richness. Some alright ripe fruity brandy. Light and semi dry finish that also brings mild alcohol spice. Nice barrelling, the base beer is a bit lacking backbone for me. Overall, decent.

Bottle at home, from OKasional online, 05/05/2025.
Black topped with a khaki cap that thins in time to a swirl and edgework.
Nose is roast malts, booze, mellow brandy, stewed fruits, charr.
Taste comprises chocolate, booze, dried fruit rinds, molasses, mellow brandy, black peppery spice.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost offered at the curtain call.
Okay sipper but struggling to pull into 4th gear for me.

Bottle from lowcostbeer, consumed two months past BBE. Cloudy gold, brut style carbonation, moderate sized white head; looked the part but head dissipated to quickly. Aroma of lemon, hay, gooseberry, hint of dryness. Light to medium bodied with a frothy carbonation. This works well with the tangy fruity flavours, some citrus, grape and pear, drying close. Only a mild sourness in the finish which would disappoint some but I found it refreshing and tasty even if its not revolutionary.

Overall decent. The spice is nice, the base is good too, but they don’t quite find the perfect mix, it seems dried out but sugary sweet. Lorien mallorca
