Description
Munkebo Brewery was founded in late 2013 when our brew master returned to Denmark after working in a Brewery, in the German mountains. We brew our beer at different breweries, but mainly in Denmark with colab’s various places at other breweries at home and abroad. Munkebo moved in 2019 from the old base at Kerteminde to the harbor in Odense, in an old warehouse from the 17th century.

Bottle. Pours darkish black, medium brown head. Aromas of roast, malt, citrussy, orange peel, orange zest, caramel, chocolate. Taste is roasty and coffee-like up front with dark fruits, citrus, orange peel, piney.

WoW The label on this bottle lies. It says best before okt 2019. It is now nov 2019 Not all the ratings for this beer is good. This bottle have been standing in my basement for some time. Should have had more of it I realize Because this one was just outstanding So smooth and easy drinkable Well balanced sweetness and a soft fine carbonation level Very easy to drink Toffee, dried fruits, nutty, some spices and a solid malty backbone Yummi [Bottle (brew 064) from Vinmonopolet in Norway]

Sample from 33 cl bottle. Pitch black, no head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, fruits, liqourice and coffee. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Drying fruity finish with dark malts.
