Description

0.33 l bottle from ’Sterk Avondverkoop’, best before February 2019. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, not overly intense, fruity and slightly grassy aroma of pineapple, lemon and a touch of gooseberry. Slightly sweetish, moderately bitter, a bit salty and fruity-grassy taste of pineapple, lemon, some gooseberry and a touch of seaweed, followed by a short, very dry, medium bitter and moderately grassy finish with traces of salt. Thin to medium body, extremely effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite nice, at least refreshing, but another beer that suffers from way too much carbonation. Fortunately, the seaweed is not that prominent.

Bottle @ home shared with Inoven. Hazy orange color, huge foamy white head. Aroma is malts, lightly sweet, maybe a distant hint of hop but even that’s stretching. Tastes similar: malts, sweetish, hops maybe in the distance but definitely not as clearly as you’d want in an APA.

Sweetish, quite fruity, slightly grassy aroma of melon, pear, passion fruit and some grass. Sweetish, minimally bitter, quite fruity and slightly grassy taste of melon, pear, passion fruit and some grass, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, grassy, slightly dry and a bit yeasty-metallic finish. Medium body, very effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Decent Pale Ale, nice flavours apart from the metallic touch, just way too much carbonation.
