From polypin, picked up at the brewery. It pours pale gold with a medium white head. The nose is straw, hay, pithy lemon, grapefruit and sweet pomello. The taste is crisp, straw, good bitter kick, pepper, grapefruit rind and lemon with a dry, bitter finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, clean and very drinkable. I was rather surprised how bitter this is fresh. Nice work.

Cask at the Le Gothique’s Halloween Beer Festival 2013. Poured a hazy golden colour with no head. Mild aroma with some fruit rind and grassy hop notes. Initial flavours were quite bitter; unripened fruit and straw. Finish was very dry with pine, grain and a little brown sugar.
