Aroma has toffee, some roasted notes and nuts. Flavour has toffee, nuts, some hay and hints of coffee. Too low on roastiness and not very stout-like. Feels also a bit watery.

330ml bottle from Tesco drunk at home. Clear gold colour lasting off white head. Yep, not great, a bit of cardboard newspaper, eek, boiled vegetables not nice. Not sure I want to finish this. Ugh.

Bottle@Panas Gurkha’s Kitchen, Grove Park - pale yellow/golden pour with a big foamy head. Aroma and taste is grassy, straw, pils malty, clean and crisp, refreshing. Not bad, and certainly not the worst beer with a curry I have had (has to be said the curry it went with was cracking!)

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig, leicht süß. Geschmack leicht malzig getreidig, minimal herb.

Rich amber body, thin silky tight head. Malty in aroma and taste, tiny hint of hops, some caramel, some toffee. Abrupt finish, malt and caramel.

Klar gulbrun med høyt hvitt skum. Lime, sitron kommer med en gang ved skjenking. Korn og malt kommer også i lukten. Vannaktig smak ispedd litt maltaktig sødme. Fin kullsyre, medium. Kort.

330ml bottle from Tesco’s, Camberley. Explicit label; golden amber pour with a thin white head; aroma of stewed grain; malty citrus taste; and a malty finish. But ignore the ratings - you’ll feel better if you drink this - it’s a charity nearly all RBers should be supporting.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear pale gold, thin, short-lived head. Aromas of lemon and light straw. Taste is more lemon, light malt. Pretty dull to be honest. OK.
