Cask@GBBF2012. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and some mild berryish and nutty notes. Flavour is fruity, caramelly, bready and wooden. Pleasantly balanced and good session bitter.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London, 24 Nov 2011) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, dark bread, roasted malt and coffee. Roasted, malty taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread and a gentle bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, smooth and well balanced mouthfeel. Nice and highly drinkable.

Cask in London, not positive where, but maybe Craft Beer Co. Pours dark brown with a small head. Tangy dark malt nose. Mildly roasty flavor with light sweetness and faint tobacco. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Slightly tangy finish with moderate roast, light sugar, light tobacco, and earth. Decent at best.

Cask (gravity) @ The 17th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2011, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear medium yellow amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, hop oil, wood, leather, smoke - plastic ! Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110430]

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours black with a off white creamy head. Liquorice, caramel and vague toffee. Smooth. Nice

Cask@GBBF2011. Very dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is ashes, toasted malts, some slight liquorice. Flavour is roasted malts, fruits, some wood and mild ashy and bitter finish.

From cask. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty and fruity hoppy. Mild bitter, malty and slight roasted. Bitter and dry into the finish. Ends dry and bitter.

Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dark malt, dried dark berries, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20101202]
