A powerful ginger and herb nose. Tasty and refreshing due to the sourness and solid acidity as well as high end carbonation. Ginger, lemon, eucalyptus, and herbs blend well together. A tart and dry finish. Top notch.

As advertised, a classic Evil Twin rich Imperial with added sweetness and breadiness as predicted by the beer name. Simple, rich, sweet and toasty. Coffee, chocolate, toffee and touches of cream and dark berries.

The little know Yuzu fruit has a charming, slightly sweet tropical fruit taste profile, which is the clear highlight of this drinkable sour. A touch of sourness, funky Brett yeast and a hint of hops add to the pleasant refreshing taste. Yogurt, ice cream and honey underpin a great summer beer.

A refreshing light sour ale with a palate cleansing sourness, significant tartness, funky Belgian yeast, and several fruity taste elements including peaches. A nice touch of honey. Characterized by pop-like effervescence and sharper, denser qualities at the bottom of the bottle. A well-made 3%er.

A dense tan head on a dense, near black body. The nose is a party - some booze, ripe berries, coffee and fruity hops. This is a stupendous imperial stout. First taste is near burnt toffee, toast, and fresh ground, slightly bitter coffee. Other tastes include ripe berries, fruity hops, unsweetened chocolate and a touch of leather. Solid carbonation and a dense, rich body finish off a masterpiece.

I am a big Evil Twin fan, but this one is not one of the stars in their sky. Could be an old can. The nose has elements of malt and ripe fruit, but nothing jumps out at you. The taste lacks distinction among the elements. There is sweet malt, some citrus bite and other berries underneath. It is smooth and drinkable, but not a great creation by evil twin standards.

A dense, frothy pure tan head with solid lacing on a dead black body. Nose is a bit ominous - pungent, fresh ground coffee, slightly sweet chocolate, malt, and some hop bitterness. Massive, nasty, smooth, fresh and earthy, all at the same time. The initial tastes leads with molasses and burnt butter, followed by fresh ground roasted coffee and unsweetened chocolate. Dark berries with a hint of sour emerge as the taste progresses. I'm getting ripe plums in the background. A thick dry ashiness, reminiscent of the Mikkeller George, reels in the more opulent tastes. Beautiful.

Fluffy off-white head over a thin golden body. Nose is a harbinger of things to come - dank fruity hops, resin and bready malt. The taste profile is in line with its older brothers, including fruit rind, grapefruit, pineapple, bready malt and the astringency and dankness associated with the MC brand. The rich body and medium carbonation help sustain the taste experience.

Great to be first up on an Evil Twin IS. They know how to make an imperial stout. A black body topped by a deep, dense tan head. The chocolate fudge element is here, mimicking the Biscotti Break IS series. Slightly bitter coffee, roasted malt and a hint of cherries add to the sumptuous flavour. The taste is relatively dry for a big IS and there is more carbonation than most, fluffing up the taste and helping to extend it. It has a lovely thick, rich and velvety mouth feel nonetheless.

The Single Hop Simcoe version has a decernably different hop profile than the classic 2015 version. This one leads with a grassy dryness morphing into citrus, orange rind and earthiness. There was some traditional liqueur smoothness, but less sweetness than the regular version. A great beer for those who love astringent hop bombs.
