Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, initially lightly sweetish, slightly a hint of yeast, a light to moderately bitter finish. Medium body, medium to firm carbonation.

Bottle at Het Haasken in Diest. Stable, lacing, dense, snow white head over a hazy ’old gold’ coloured beer with tiny bits of yeast floating around, disturbed by vivid fizz. Iron, in the pure metallic sense of the word, is the first thing which hits me upon sniffing, a clear indication of head stabilizing agent; other aromas include unripe peach, turnip, grass, some caramel, raw potato, baker’s yeast and a touch of ’jenever’. Estery onset of peach and gooseberry with orange peel sourishness, grainy middle phase with a caramelly touch, bit metallic as expected based on the aroma, mild grassy hop bitterishness in the end along with some gin-like warming alcohol. Alcohol could have been better hidden, the iron is anything but inviting and the balance is a bit lost - this is not only redundant, but not very well crafted altogether. Disappointing.

Clear blond beer, creamy off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, spicy, some band-aid. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very metallic, some citrus, bit malty, spicy, coriander, bit chemical. Aftertaste: little bitter, chemical, band-aid, some banana, bit sugary. Man, I really need to work on that back log! Missing out on a lot of firsts here... :p
