Can at home shared with Caesar and Laura. A bit hazy oramgy color, medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, very pleasantly hoppy, hoppy bitter. Decent ti medium body and carbonation. Quite nice!

Blik van de webshop. Smaak is krachtig warm, bitterzoet en kruidig met wat honing, een lichte banaan smaak en koriander. Is wat apart maar voor mij toch een heel goed bier.

Nose is chocolate, dark malts, spice, charr, mellow whisky vibes.
Taste comprises chocolate, caramel, spice, dark malts, toasted brown sugar, mellow barrel.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a trace of booze.
Okay sipper if a little thin all round for the ABV.

Can. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. The usual level of caramel goodness, slightly savoury and sweet. The Moscatel barrel - well it's a bit light for my liking. Some ripe citrus candy on the back end but, it's way down from the dominant caramel. Decent but suffers from a lack of bolder barrelling.

Can. Pretty much a clear deep amber brown beer, decent tan head. Airy smooth palate, a very mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Soft malts, mildly creamy, a very mild toffee streak. The highly unusual barrel brings a pleasing rich ripe cherry streak. Some vague quadrupel estery fruits on the back end but, the star of the show here is the rather splendid barrel.

Can. Just about clear dark brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Airy palate, a very mild dryness, good fine carbonation. The caramel is not subtle here but is interaction with the whiskey barrel brings divergence and complexity. A mild oak induced vanilla. Whiskey soaked ripe fruits, slightly sweet. Some rich honeycomb on the back end. Soft finish brings a mild alcohol warmth. Works well, very drinkable.

Can. Pretty much an opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, a little dry and pretty minerally crisp. I've often thought the barreling on these Caramel beers was a bit light. Not so here. The Buffalo Trace bourbon interacts with the caramel in interesting ways and, produces a rich honeycomb, like a Crunchie bar sans choc but, darker and less sweet. Residual caramel comes through on the back end. Touches of bourbon soaked ripe fruits but, this is a beer where the barrel has not so much overlaid the base beer, rather it has joined and morphed into something different. Alcohol warmth and spice on the back end. Interesting result!

Can at home. Slight hazy loght yellow. Soft pils malts, wheat, pineapple, guava, papaya. Light sweet, not much bitterness. Over light bodied. It's OK, though it's more like a wheat ale or session IPA than a full blown IPA.

Can. 13.0% version. Near clear dark brown, small bubbly tan head that doesn't last. Light palate, fairly smooth and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Light dark malts bring a decent tangy chocolate, kinda 60% dark, 40% milk. Goes well with abundant coconut. Grapefruit comes through on the back end and, it tastes like pink grapefruit and, a tad candyish. Soft finish. It comes together and it works. Not sure it would but it does. A fairly unique pastry affair in my book.
