Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA's, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.

In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA's, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.

Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends.

On tap at craft & draft. Clear, dark reddish amber with a thin, creamy, tan layer. Sweetish-malty aroma of raisins, caramel and molasses. Sweetish-malty taste of raisins, prunes, dates, caramel, juniper and molasses, followed by a long, medium bitter and quite alcoholic finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, flat.

Nicely done. Lots of roast and light peat. A hint of smoke. Chocolate and caramelized malt. A good amount of booze. Black pour with good mocha head. Bittersweet finish. Bottle from Whole Foods.

Amber, moderate hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of citrus, orange, grass, mango, pineapple, berries, honey.
Tastes of citrus, grass, some grapefruit, some tropical fruits, some pine, biscuit, slight herbs.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, medium dry, piney, grassy, a bit herbal, a bit malty.

Nice one. Enjoyable fruit notes, especially in the nose and a well balanced malt backbone. A bit too much grass notes for my liking though. Overall nothing outstanding, but a solid, decent IPA.

Bottle kindly shared by Gurthnar, many thanks. Orange golden color with medium white head. Citrus hops, caramel in aroma. Strong citrus hops taste with zest, pines, caramel,malt. Long hoppy bitter finish. Good.

Bottle. Hazy orangeish amber with a thick white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of oranges, under-ripe nectarines, mild funk, pepper. Hints of tropical fruit and berries too. Sadly that nice balance of elements doesn’t show in the taste, which is dominated by harsh pithy bitterness. Some pine and pepper there too.

Amber with off white head - Roasted malt aroma with some hops as well - Malt body with some roasted malt and coffee notes and there is some fruity hops there as well - Bitterness from roasted malt and hops goes into the finish - This was nice

Bottle from het Biermoment, large sample. Hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma has grassy hops, pineapple, bit grainy wheat, some apricot marmalade. Medium bitterness in taste, slight sweet and sour fruity. Bit dry and grainy in the finish. Ok.
