On tap at Borefts ’15. Black, beige head. Aroma of tar, peat, sweet malts, light fruity. Flavour is a bit thin, earth, peat, alcohol, dark fruits, pumpernickel, bitter finish. Medium bodied at best. Wasn’t impressed.

On tap at Borefts ’15. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, dry, floral, fruity. Flavour is light sweet, crisp, dry, light malty, citrus, floral, nice bitter finish. Light bodied.

Bottle at Sijf, Café/Bar, Rotterdam, Netherlands, Saturday 26th September 2015 Hazy gold with a large frothy white head that sticks to the glass. The bitterness is way, way to harsh, like throwing away the orange and just eating the pith, struggling with this, in fact Loz has offered to swap she doesn’t mind it, whereas I don’t like it at all. Keg at Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven Friday 25th September 2015 in the company of Ruth Big, ballsy dark thick stout with a beige head, uh..oh..this smells a bit too much like TCP I think we have got ourselves a sneaky bloody Islay aged stout here, yuck.... Soft mouthfeel, malty but far too much peatiness, I cannot get on with it (wish I had of asked before buying) Jackie finished it off. A4 A4 T4 P4 Ov10 2.6

Keg at Borefts Beer Festival, De Molen, Bodegraven Friday 25th September 2015 in the company of Ruth near the Kees and the Magic Rock bars. A little coffee on the nose, the oatiness does show, thick and full on in mouth, coffee also coming through, alcohol is remarkably restrained. Another great beer from Kees. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
