Description
Life's too short for boring, middle of the road beers. Craft Brewery Kees! stands for tasty, fruity, hoppy flavours and strong dark ales, but there'll always be that 'twist' . That special 'something' that make his beers stand out.
Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA's, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.
In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA's, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.
Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by benzai. Hazy orange with a small white head. Smells very naturally fruity, fresh, bitter, hops. Tastes like I described in the smell. I must say I don’t really like the taste of this particular fruit. A bit like Fanta Pomelo. Also a bit zesty and orange finish. Medium body, nice carbo.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon. Coventry consumed at home 19th August 2015 Pours amber quite hazy with a white cushion of foam. Lemony but a little sharp and a touch (just a touch acidic) getting into it a bit more and it is sweet, oily and thick. It’s good but needs a bit more work, actually I am being a little unfair with a bit of food alongside (Camembert in this instance) it’s really nice, gets better. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Deep ruby color, small off-white head. Aroma has pine, alcohol and berries. Full-bodied. Liquerish palate. Nice combination of American piney and resiny hoppyness and toffee. Not too heavy or not too sweet. Lingering bitterness in the warming aftertaste.

Bottle. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head..Palate is smooth, soft and slightly thick. Tangy dark malts with an almost harsh roasty bitterness. Touch of bitter cherry. Lactose that gets in to a Carnation condensed milk vibe. Smooth semi dry finish brings spice and warmth. Rich and powerful.
