Bottle shared in Korntal-Münchingen. Slightly hazy yellow golden with white head. Sweet malts, tropical fruits, pineapple, sweet and sour peach, light dough and soft grass, light sweet floral notes, clover flowers. Massive hay and horseblanket brettfunk, citrus peel. Bottle at home. Pours clear golden with fluffy white head. Sweet barley malts, sweet floral and cinnamon stick candy notes. Quite sweet and decent bitter. Over medium body, bit cakey feel, some decent carbonation. Tastes a bit like a homebrewed Duvel with a splash of Orval. Woolly warm fuzzy funk in there indeed. Nice boozy kick that works well. Massive herbal and floral notes and heavy cakey malt feel with some bitter and aroma hops coming in really nicely. This is a bit strange at first but drinks quite nice as an old school strong brownpub sipper. Wasn’t too keen on opening an imperial saison but this is way nicer than I’d expected.
