Draught @ Hoppy Loft, Brussels. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, peach, melon, little citrus. Flavor is malty, grass, fruity hops, melon, peach. Medium body, lively carbonation, light bitter finish. 300714

Bottle thnx to the brewer . Pours very clear blonde, small white head . Smell is dry grainy, bit bitter . Taste is bitter , sharp , dry sweet, malty back . Balanced, intense taste, perfect carbo . Nothing to unusual , ’just’ a well-made tripel .

Bottle thnx to the brewer . Pours clear blonde . Ok white foam fades fast . Smell is sweet, bit aromahop . Seems very natural, too . Taste is pretty bitter . The unidentifies sweetness ( malts ? sugar ? Hop ? ) is also kinda intense ( soapy, almost , or perfumy ? ) Surprising beer , out of the ordinary ( as it should be ! ) Tasty stuff ! Very complex .

Golden blonde Christmas tripel with light malty taste, some coriander in the aroma and yeasty spice notes in the finish along with noticeable alcohol. Genuine but low profile beer compared to most other Christmas ales and therefore a bit dull.

Unambitious and old-fashioned ’regional pils’ from Gavere, snow white head, golden colour with a faint orange hue (a bit darker than usual for the style), soft malty character, sweetish and fruity pale malts in onset, finishing in a mild herbal hoppiness, more bitterish than usual in Belgian pale lagers. In this particular segment quite okay and genuine, and less cliché than what one would expect.

Tasted as Valeir Donker but also as Carlos, an aliased version for the former mayor of Asper. Light beige, creamy, thick and stable head, colour very dark brown with a burgundy hue. Soft sweetish aroma of chocolate, candied dates, pear, caramel, cinnamon, hazelnuts, whiff of coffee. Delicately dark malty taste, sweetish but not cloying, nutty, bit chocolatey, finishing in bitterish hops and a hint of toasted bitterness; the biggest downside for me is the rather thin mouthfeel, otherwise a fine dubbel.

33cl bottle courtesy of and shared with Kermis. Thin creamy off-white head. Hazy amber pour. Nicely done. Very drinkable.

Bottle shared. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of caramel, deal fruits, leather, tobacco and light soy. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
