Description
110 years of Contreras in a 190 year old brewery. In 1818 Brewery Latte was founded as a typical farm-brewery. In the second half of the 19th century the company was led by Valère Latte who sold the brewery in 1898 to René Contreras. In 1920 René Contreras chose to sell his brewery to his nephew Marcel Contreras. it was Marcel who would transform the brewery into a modern 20th century company. He shaped the buildings as they currently still remain. In 1982 Marcel's son Willy became the sole manager of the brewery. At the start of the 21st century Ann Contreras, the only daughter of Willy Contreras, and her fiancée Frederik De Vrieze gradually took over the daily management of the brewery.

Cask at Le Fin Mousse, Paris. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy white head and broken lace. The aroma is very floral leading to some more flowers in the flavour which was initially quite a shock but grew on me after a while. Quite unusual and worth a taste. The style is of an old French floral lager, but taken to the next level. Very drinkable... eventually.
