500ml can. Filtered light tan body. Steady white head. Reminds me of a Lentbier or Maibock more so than a Pils. Bready malt tone, zesty bright hop tone. Overall pretty enjoyable.

Can from the advent calendar. Nose is rich honey malts, some estery stone fruits, and light citrus hops. Clear gold with a medium head. Flavor is sweet honey malts, stone fruit, plus quite bitter hops in the finish. Body is heavy like a maibock. Quite boozy too. Interesting. Not bad, but not really my thing either.

Pours clear deep gold with a one finger white head. It has a grainy, malty, slightly boozy aroma. The flavor is sweet, grainy, biscuity malt with very mild hops bitterness and some boozy character. It’s a little reminiscent of a malt liquor though thankfully better than the typical one of those.

Can at home from the Costco Advent calendar. A clear golden bright coloured pour with a fine fading white head. Aroma is semi sweet, toffee malts, custard, apple, lager notes, some alcohol. Palte is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonaiton. Flavour is composed of clear sweet malts, caramel, appley esters, cereal, toffee. Decent. hides the boost pretty well.

Behind door 17 of the Costco lager calendar. It pours clear rich golden - blonde with a thick, frothy white head. The aroma is sweet, sponge cake, icing sugar, bready malts, pie crust, brioche, grassy, herbal and minty vibes. The taste is firmly dry initially, grassy and herbal, bitter - sweet character, bready malts, brioche, sponge cake, cereal, nip of society, custard cream biscuits, nice boozy kick, mint and verbena with a drying cakey finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. A pretty quality imperial pils. Sweet, but not overly so - the alcohol keeps it in check. Fun stuff.

500ml Costco Advent Calendar. Some hops and malts, pretty nice balance - full bodied. Solid Imperial Pils

Bottle, forgot where I got it. Dark black with small tan head. Very mild roasted malt aroma. Pretty much on the sweet side, smooth and not high bitterness for an imperial Stout. Nice syrupy body with a coffee cacao note.

Super clear golden coloured body with a thinnish, relatively fast-dying off-white head that fades fairly quickly, but still leaves a small layer on top. Aroma of crisp grain, light apricots and stone fruits with a large hop and metallic bitterness with some astringency and a dash of toffee and caramelised sugars with a heavy lager yeast bite towards the very end in the nose. Medium-bodied; Very strong and pungent, bitter malt shows through with a lot of metal, some pungent grain, a large stone fruit and caster sugar note with noticeable sweetness, but also a dash of pepper and a good deal of bread and yeastie elements that does show more than the other notes. Aftertaste shows the deep crisp, grainy, biscuity and yeasite bite from the malts without any sweetness or real complexity at the end. Overall, a nice and very crisp lager with herbal, toffee and especially floral notes. I sampled this 50 cL can, from Day #6 of the Costco 2020 Advent Calendar, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia sampled at my house here in Washington on 06-December-2020.

Half liter can, 12/6/20, #6 of the Costco Advent Calendar. Hazy copper, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of Noble, piney hops, pale malt. Taste is citrusy hops, pineapple mostly, kinda syrupy. Sweet malt. Medium bodied, somewhat crisp. Mild bitterness. Seems to want to be an IPA. Decent.
