Description

500ml can; drank on Boxing Day 2019 while on holiday in California, from an Advent Calendar. Slight haze to the deep golden body, white head that faded fast. Light herbal aroma and flavour with a semi-sweet graininess, mild tinny feel. Liked it when coldest, as it warmed it became more and more metallic in nature.

500 ml can from the Kalea Advent calendar. Aroma is sweet malt, lightly grassy, lightly chalky. Pours nearly clear deep golden with a two finger bone-white head with excellent retention and splotchy sheets of lace. Taste has moderate malt sweetness with some light herbal hop bitterness. I would like it better with less of the malt and more hop bitterness, but it's not bad.

Auburn with a frothy head. Rich, malty aroma full of caramel and Rotweinkuchen. Taste is mostly sweet, with ashes and spice keeping it interesting. Fairly simple, but this one grew on me and made for pleasant sipping. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. A good one.
