Description
Gosnells was founded by Tom Gosnell in 2014 after he was inspired to turn his hand to experimenting with mead during a trip to the USA. As an avid home brewer of cider and perry, Tom had brewing experience that he quickly applied to developing our signature style of light, crisp, sparkling mead. From those early days our team and brewery has grown, but our aim remains the same: to re-popularise mead and bring it back to the people.

Tap. Unclear pale yellow color with white head. Aroma is flowery honey, a bit appley, quite fresh. Taste is the same, quite fresh flowery and floral honey, a bit lemonade-like. Mineralic mouthfeel, refreshing carbonation. Good!

On tap at Beavertown Extravaganza 2018. Hazy pale gold colour no head. Elderflower flavour is pleasant. Some light sweet honey presence. OK I thought but I like elderflower. Bit of an underpowered mead.

Bottle at BeerFest Asia, X Edition. Poured a hazy burgundy colour with a frothy pink head. The aroma is sweet honey, red berry fruity, sticky sugary malts. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth, rich, fake sugar water, light mineral, light tart fruit, light floral palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. A little too light and watery for me. Not easily drinkable in any quantity.

Bottle from the beerhive. nose is baking yest, breakfast honey, citrus. Palate is citrus, set honey, just some hints of the baking yeast. It's very hard to make these low abv mead not taste like baking yeast. Maybe this one is also a little bit old (a year), but it should have made it better ;).

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 18, brought by me. Aroma is salty, honey-sweet. Taste presents a perry-like sweetness (thanks for suggesting that Jeremy), generally smooth with nice lemon notes and light citra. Quite sweet but balanced and smooth. Interesting mead.
