Crisp clean light amber/copper coloured body with a very thin white head and a few bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of fresh cascade hops with a bit of citrus and some pine - pretty nice and mild. Medium-bodied then turns Light; Mild malty flavour with some hops following soon behind, while being very low in alpha acids. Aftertaste shows some faint sweetness, a touch of grassy hops and very little else. Overall, tastes like an english bitter on cask, poured out of a bottle with a little higher alcohol. Worth trying if you can find it and with as little ratings as it has - definitely nice for an American to try it over here stateside. I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased from the Utobeer Market stall in Borough (London), England at the Borough Market on 13-December-2008, sampled less than a month later on 05-January-2009 while eating some cheese from Neal’s Yard Dairy (also at Borough Market).

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham on 29th December 2008. Utterly exquisite. Hoppy and very bitter, yet maintaining a delicate roundedness to give a trifocal flavour experience. A good zingy mouthfeel too. But for the plan to visit other pubs in the area I would have stood myself another pint!

From cask at Standing Order. Pours clear and golden orange with a small orange glare and lacing white head. Mild spiced and butterish aroma. Citric and hoppy flavour with a distinct bitterness coming through. Smooth finish with a mild acidic note.

Lots of fresh hoppy, leafy character going on that was really enjoyable and a moderately bitter finish, but too much about hops and the rest of the beer is forgotten about.

500ml bottle from Tesco, Ashford, Kent. Copper with a thin ring of white head; rich malt aroma; quite lively in the mouth with a sweet blackberry fruitiness, and a dry and nicely bitter finish. Very pleasant.

500ml bottle from Tescos, Alfreton. Amber with a ring of white head; lots of fresh bitter hop aroma with a touch of citrus; refreshing lemony flavour, light without being thin, then honeyed sweetness; pleasantly gentle bitter finish with grapefruit flavours. Lacking the strength of finish I was expecting, but very drinkable nonetheless.
