Description
XT Brewing Co is an innovative, independent brewery crafting a wide range of exceptional beers. Our XT beers form the core range of characterful, full flavoured brews and our wild side, Animal Brewing Co, pushes the boundaries with new and exciting one-off specials. The options are as infinite as the natural world.

We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.

The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Light floral malt amd some spice in the aroma. Dark amber. Thin bubbly white head. Light bitter. Dome underlying sweetness. A hint of spice. Malts. Light bodied. On the thin side. Low key prickle of carbonation. Long finish. Pleasant. Drinkable. A bit of character, if not that interesting.

Handpull cask at the Broood, Leicester. Dark reddish gold, mostly clear, with a small beige head and lots of lacing. Gorgeous grapefruit and mango aroma with a malty biscuit backbone. Bittersweet taste, nicely balanced sweet malt against the sharp Citra. A touch of sourness on the finish. Medium body, low carbonation. Love the hop, love the beer. It's simple but elegant.

Handpull cask at the Broood, Leicester. Golden brown and clear with a tiny bit of off-white head. Spicy ginger aroma with a cardboard and slightly peppery character. Spicy soapy taste slightly balanced by the gentleness of the malt character. Short finish with vegetal whisperings in the aftertaste. I struggle with Sorachi Ace but there's no denying this is a good beer. If only they brewed this with different hops. Oh wait... :)

Cask at GBBF ๏ฟฝ17, day one, 08/08/17. Clear golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange peel, straw, citric sherbet notes, grains. Taste comprises orange pith, melon, peach, grass, light bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
