Description
XT Brewing Co is an innovative, independent brewery crafting a wide range of exceptional beers. Our XT beers form the core range of characterful, full flavoured brews and our wild side, Animal Brewing Co, pushes the boundaries with new and exciting one-off specials. The options are as infinite as the natural world.
We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.
The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - grass, lemon and herbal. Taste - like it smells. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - solid if unexciting. Doesn’t taste like it’s close to 6%.

Cask, gravity at Brewery Club, Members Night,XT Brewery, Long Crendon, Bucks, Thursday 2nd March 2017. Hazy dark amber with a slim off white head. Quite fruity but with a good dash of overripe banana. Quite good one of the better beers this evening. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask, gravity at Brewery Club, Members Night,XT Brewery, Long Crendon, Bucks, Thursday 2nd March 2017. Really hazy murky gold light amber, wow this is a woody beer, you probably would notice it so much if a darker beer. I don’t mind it, and in its defence it still has some of the original features. However the fruity elements have rather been beaten into submission by the oak ageing., which is a bit OTT, like sucking a beer soaked stick. . A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

Cask, gravity at Brewery Club, Members Night,XT Brewery, Long Crendon, Bucks, Thursday 2nd March 2017. Pours murky brown with a creamy head. Sweet dark candi’ sugar comes off of the nose straight away and actually is present in the mouth. Fruity, tangy but also a little boozy though to be fair drinks easier than a 9.8% beer should. Some bitter liquorice, some boozy fumes come down the nose, kudo’s for XT for really pushing the boat out at the moment with some of these beers, and whilst this is quite good its not totally doing it for me. Keg at Brewery Club, Members Night,XT Brewery, Long Crendon, Bucks, Thursday 2nd March 2017. *Please note that this beer has now been re-branded as Snake Oil, however even in the brewery there are a lot of cans as above with the IPA details. Pours dark god with a white head. Initially I pick up a touch of toffee but then a citrussy element comes through, reasonably hoppy, good bitterness, dry finish, a little bit of bile on the nose (I get that with some beers, it must be one of the C hops that does this for me) Pretty good beer.
