28th Jan 2017: on-tap in Smoqued BBQ, Orange (California). Went well with my ’Burnt Ends’. Dark with minimal head, fairly sweet throughout with definite caramel aroma and taste alongside a smoldering peat bog base. Liked it.

Cask at Cap Tap. Pours hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is guava. Med body or so. Flavor is mostly guava; lightly bitter. The guava seems to be mellowing out the hop. It’s smooth and tasty.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma of pale stone fruits. Med + body. Flavor is pale stone fruits attempting to be dank. Seems to have a citrus/pine aspect after the fruit flows away. Seems reasonably dry. There’s a tongue burn- hop and/or heat. Hard to decide. Prickles on the tongue. Fruity, bitter, delicious. Very recommended.
