Keg at BDSB - London. Pours brown with a creamy, mocha head. Strong coffee in the nose, some ashy roast. Light-medium sweet flavour with slightly astringent coffee character, bitter roast and baking cocoa, scorched earth. Medium bodied with average carboantion. Finishes with notes of spent tobacco, more bitter coffee, ash, some woody dryness. Nice.

Keg at BD Shepโs Boost. It pours jet black with jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, big coffee action dominates, earth, light spice, dark chocolate and some bonfire. The taste is rich roast, big charred character, loads of coffee going, ash, peppery spice, mild astringency and touch of alcohol with smooth, coffee driven finish. Medium + body and moderate carbonation. Itโs all about the coffee. Decent stuff.

On tap @ BrewDog, Soho. Smells really nice. Lots of licorice, dark roasty toasted bread. A rush of super fresh deep coffee. A really deep nose, and it smells really good. Loaded with dry roastiness and lots of coffee! Almost a little ashy it's so coffee dark. In the mouth it has a thin oily texture and it's about average on the big bubbled carbonation. Long roasty tail, lingering. Yeah, not bad at all this. 21.10.2016

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear paleish gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Nice condition. Light pale malts, sweetish smooth floral mid. Touch of something skunky. Light lemony citrus. Decent.

Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grain, zesty lemon citrus. The flavour is acid citrus with a light, crispy refreshing dry mineral aspirin, spicy, light resin, citrus fruit palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Wow, a Birmingham saison and rather good too!

Cask @ The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Pours gold, white head. Aroma is lemon, floral. Taste is soft lemon curd, some floral follow-up notes, but itโs mainly about the lemon curd. Very nice.

Cask at GBBF โ16, day one, 09/08/16. Pale golden blonde with a handsome white cap. Nose is melon, orange pith, straw, lemon rind, light bread. Taste comprises melon, toasted malts, orange pith, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a generous enough hop spattering. Decent hoppy sessioner ... probably deserves a style upgrade to SIPA !
