Since changing our name from Topsham & Exminster Brewery in 2008, we have expanded ever more rapidly. We now have a fantastic site in Cowley Bridge Road where we have a retail shop and Tap-Room Bar. The Tap-Room is open every Thursday evening from 5pm to 11pm. Curry nights. Every last-Friday of the month the Tap room opens as normal, but we offer a curry, prepared and served by ARC Events. You don’t have to eat, just enjoy a drink, but the curries are great – takeaways available too.

Bottle. Stylish label. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malty with some floral hop. Taste: Malty, grainy notes, floral hop backbone. Light hints of citrus fruit and citrus zest. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweet and light bitterness. Going towards a Lager. A bit more hoppy and bitter when standing longer.

Gravity cask at Maltingsfest 2026 in Newton Abbot. Pours deep ruby with opaque beige bubbles. Sweet, molasses, caramel, toffee, dark fruits, red berries. Medium+ body with low carbonation. Hefty with a big boozy finish. Would go better on keg I reckon.

Badged an IPA, this is a Pale very bitter beer that is much more to my taste than the fruity versions called IPA these days.
