Draught @ Erasmus, Brugge, Belgium.Dark dark black color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, milk and dark chocolate, strong coffee, moderate hoppy grass, grape, plum, raisin, licorice. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long long duration, a very complex flavor and so round and smooth. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft - flat. It is truly the best brewers in the world. ;o)) (280208) 9-5-10-5-20 Bottle 33cl @ home.Clear dark black color with a large, creamy - frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, dusty chocolate malt, moderate to heavy yeasty, raisin - dryed plum, alcohol. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft - flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. All in all the bottle version is a bit more like a belgian IMP, and the it a lot of air and time in the glass to all the good aroma’s and flavor’s that the Black Albert has on draught, so for me it means that to rate this beer properly from a bottle the bottle need to site for some days and you need at good sniffer glas and good time to give the beer time and air ... but then it just gets better and better ;o)) (060708) 8-5-9-4-18
