Noogfest. I believe flipbrewer gets the thanks for bringing this one across the country for us to sample. This starts with a dark brown body under a tan head. Boozy chocolate aroma. Some licorice. The lactic sourness comes through strongly and throws the balance off a bit for me. An interesting experiment that I would not repeat personally.

Noogfest. Deep amber with a decent white head. Toasted malt aroma accompanied by flowery hops. Soft palate, nice dryness to this one.

Hazy bronze with a small tan head, Floral hoppy nose, and a piney citrusy hop body close with a pleasantly bitter finish. Great!

Draft. Rich dark amber with a tan head. Huge banana aroma with some spice. Yeasty, banana flavor with some spices, but there’s an underlying doughy/playdough quality that isn’t all good.

Draft. Rich amber color with a nice off-white head. Big grapefruit, pine, fruity aroma. Huge flavor of the same with heavier pine/woodsiness. and a bit of caramel backing. Easy to drink - I think Rodger makes some of the easiest to drink big beers. That this was 9.5% now explains the rest of the night and the next morning.

Bottle. Rich mahogony beer wth no head. Plummy, raisin aroma with some caramel malt and a bit of brandy. No carbonation. A bit of acetic acid - more like a red wine about to go bad. There’s some berry fruitiness, but its oxidized. Some underlying malt sweetness is all that keeps it from being a drainpour. I had a sample of this 3 months ago and it was better then, but not by much. This could have been a good beer - unfortunately, it’s not.

Thanks to awaisanen for this! Drake’s pours into the glass with a beautiful creamy off-white head over a reddish amber body. Caramel malt in the aroma is joined by some light hops. Well balanced and clean. Perhaps an unexciting style, but this brew is solidly done just the same.

Bottle. Amber gold beer with a small white head. Sweet malt, wheat, and clove aroma. Sweet malt, wheat and citrus flavor with some clove/banana. Lingering spicey flavor. Not bad.

Murky mud brown color with almost no head. Bourbon aroma with a strong hint of alcohol. Taste is of bourbon and grapes, caramel malt and alcohol. Having tasted this after the stronger barleywine, it does not hide the alcohol nearly a s well.

Hazy purple-tinged brown brew with almost no head. Aroma is very raisin with a raisin flavor and a constanlty changing complex aftertaste that hangs in there a long time. Very liitle alcohol taste is evident even though it is 14.7%.
