Description
For nearly twenty five years, our mission here at Smuttynose has remained the same: to brew the best beer we can in a way we can be proud of. That includes honoring New England’s rich beermaking history, respecting our environment, and playing an active role in our community.
We value creativity, quality, authenticity and sustainability, but it really boils down to making great beers to enjoy with friends and family. We hope you love drinking our beers as much as we love brewing them. Cheers!

(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with caramel, crisp-bread, chocolate and dried fruit. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, dark bread, raisins, dates, dried figs and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and really well balanced, with alcohol fairly well hidden. Very nice.

Draught at Republic Cafe, 6/23/18.
Gently hazy, soft, lemony-apricot golden. Small, fairly dense, white head sits at cover.
Lightly fruity and with honey-like malts, it's gentle, shows no aggressive character has has a pleasant pineapple-citrus feel to it.
Soft and fairly malty with a light pine and grapefruit-light bitterness and tons of yellow fruits. Honey-rich malts are maybe a touch too blase/sweet but it's not much of a problem. Engaging carbonation and no alcohol, resin or flaw. Very simple, but good, competent and drinkable.
