The (not so) shit beer tasting at Leightons stratospheric flat. Had a good laugh at this one, barrel aged Tennents! Whatever next? Clear amber beer, good white head. Palate is light and airy and slightly soft. Little malt cream with barrel induced vanilla and coconut. Light citrus underneath. Mellow whisky tang. Finishes light and dry. As people predicted, quite Innis & Gunn like, so really not that bad.

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, thanks to Paul for this Lisboa pick up, 20/12/13 up a shit load of stairs ! Golden with a thin off white covering. Nose is pale malt, light whisky chaser, papery, cereals, peanuts. Taste comprises coconut shavings, light whisky strains, pale malts, woody lick, sweet sherbety profile. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying but crisp in the execution. Had high hopes this could be a contender for worst beer fo the night but twas OK, reminiscent of a standard I&G offering!

Bottle 330ml (Alko)
Deep clear golden-amber color, decent white head. Skunky nose with some fruityness. Medium-bodied. Very sweet, green apple, skunky grassy hops, alcoholic bite in the finish. Quite fail.

Bottle at the Night of Garbage, picked up in Lisbon of all places. It pours a sexy clear amber with a medium white head. The nose has those unique Tennent’s notes, along with a big coconut hit, wood, vanilla and toast. The taste is smooth, toast, honey, caramel, coconut and toasty sugars with a clean finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Smooth, clean and crisp, but in reality not a whole lot going on. Nevertheless there is nothing wrong with it.
