Bottle shared at the Night of Garbage. Massive thanks to Paul for going to the brewery release to get his allotment of this beer. Pours perfectly clear light gold with a frothy white head. The nose has lightly doughy bread, hints of vanilla and butterscotch. Medium sweet flavor with more sugary dough, slight butterscotch, coconut, hints of orange. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish with dry white bread, dough, golden raisins, faint caramel. Nothing wrong here.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Amber colour, huge off-white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, herbal, grassy and mildly toasted along with some slight burnt rubbery notes. Flavour is sweet toffee, some alcohol, mild grainy and grassy notes along with some floral notes. Not the harshest of strong/imperial pils’, but still not very pleasant either. Gets a bunch boozier and unclean as it warms up.

Bottled. A golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, and whiskey. The flavor is sweet with notes of whiskey, malt, straw, and spices, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

33 cl bottle @ home
Aroma is strong on butter. Also some toffee, roastiness and distant ashy notes. Flavour has butter, grass, herbal tones, some roastiness and hints of ash. Too strong on butter - probably I would not recognize this as a stout or even a dark ale without a visual affirmation.

Tap at the Plockton Hotel, Plockton because ladies and gentlemen a rate is a fucking rate ! 19/10/13. Clear copper golden with a good sized light beige top. Nose is pretty anaemic, light malts, cereals. Taste comprises a hint of toffee, grassy, light cereals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, touch of bitterness at the closure. A dull bland affair.
