Bottle at Beer Capital Brussels. Pours clear red-brown with a tight, Trang light khaki head. Light-medium sweet flavour with notes of well toasted malts, earthy hops, dried orange peel, slight tangy dark berries. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Alright balance to finish, bit of boozy warmth, toasted malts, light roast, earth, burnt pine. Basic gear.

Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy to aery beige head, little stable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, lots of caramel, sweet impression, milk chocolate, grains, caramel. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: good dark roast up front, bitter, coffee, a bit sourish, a little sweet, CO2, some chlorine. Aftertaste: very bitter, dark roast, hoppy, coffee, yeasty, overripe banana.

Cloudy orange beer, big solid creamy yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: yeasty, weird, smoky touch, a bit fruity, very malty, grains, hay, more smoke. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter start, funky, slightly sourish, some peaches, bitter, a bit resinous. Aftertaste: very bitter, malty, grains, some diacetyl, sourish, weird, funky, sulphur notes, where’s that vanilla? And the aromatic hops?

Bottle@Pressklubben, Stockholm. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, some farmyard, mild earthy and citrus tones. Flavour is yeasty, some earth, citrus and mild honey tones with some grass too.

Clear blond beer, big aery to fizzy white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty yeasty, very fruity, apples, more yeast, refreshing impression. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: little bitter first, pretty yeasty, fruity, sweet apples, a pleasant acidity. Aftertaste: a little bitter, refreshing acidity, a bit yeasty, dry, some tannins, apple skin, decent!

Clear brown beer, big fizzy aery beige big bubbled irregular head, relatively stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: malty, caramel, fudge, hint of milk chocolate, nutty, hazelnuts, hay, more malts. Nothing fruity about it. Where’s my aromatic hops? MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: slightly sweet, malty, chocolate roast, hint of caramel, pretty bitter and dry. Aftertaste: very bitter, more roast, slightly metallic, a bit sourish, hoppy, grassy finish.
