Bottle from het Biermoment, 33 cl sample. Hazy dark copper color, short frothy lacing. Aroma has lots of cookie and vanilla from the slight alcoholic bourbon, bit vinous dark fruit and raisins from the barley wine. Quite sweet in taste, raisin and bourbon, bit dry oak wood. Vinous, bourbon, big raisiny barley wine. Huge sipper this. Didnt expect this from Troost, but its quite phenomenal.

Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a long duration, dried fruit, plum - raisin, dark malt, sweet malt, bread. Yeasty nose. Clear medium golden, foamy off-white head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma wheat, saison yeast, bit gooseberry, grass. Taste light sweet and bitter, light sourish notes, wood, fruity and spicy notes. Dry sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity notes, woody, medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, decent saison.

Bottle. Dark brown pour, quite flat. Delicious aroma of raisin, bourbon vanilla, caramel, oak and ripe fruit. Full sweet taste of bourbon vanilla, caramel, raisin, butterscotch, ripe red fruit and a long boozy sweet finish. Very barrel forward and really good.

Bottle shared. Dark brown with a ring light tan head. Aroma of iodine, boozy barrel, vanilla, malt. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at pre-THT. Almost black with short lasting dark beige head. Very flowery, rum, vanilla, light milk chocolate, lots of bitter herbs, alcohol, toffee. Very alcoholic and herbal, seems more like rum barrels than bourbon. Over medium sweet and bitter. Almost full bodied.
