I think I had about eight 4oz samples of this because Randy Thiel kept toppin off my glass. Cheers to you, Randy!
Stunning appearance that reminds me of Vervifontaine Blonde. Full and lasting is the perfectly-formed white, dense head atop the shining, sparkling, unfiltered, white-gold-meets-tangerine juice colored body. Tons of lacing. Aroma is just a pure, fantastically powerful shot of lovely, tart brett. In one word, pineapple! Reminds me of Mo Betta in that regard, though not nearly as concenrated a pineapple aroma. Spicy hops round out the edges, while some of the pale malt sugars serve as a backdrop. Juicy nectarines mingle with limes and starfruits. White pepper-like notes are probably just a result of the dry woody character, while the ginger is just faintly present. Lightly oily barnyard/leather notes present. Flavor comes right back at you with the brett. At once cleansing the palate and then delivering some light pale grains, hint of dry floral and grassy hops. More pineapple and lemon-lime notes. Very tight, expansive mouthfeel completes the experience while the brett lingers on, supported by malt that is neither too lightly done nor overly sweet. Spiciness from actual spices is very tame (which I realy appreciate). Hops play off the fruity/tart brett, adding complexity/layers to this wonder. Odd that they use cascades in the dry hopping, but who cares! This stuff is a masterpiece if I’ve ever had one. Anxiously awaiting the bottles. No alcohol present.

Bottle Pours a hazy light orange amber with a thick off white head. Lots of light fruity belgian spices. Orange, caramel. Flavors were the expected Belgian yeastiness and slight musty flavors. Light spices and fairly sweet. easy on the hops and only a hint of bitterness at the end. Very carbonated, the cork put a dent in my dropped ceiling.

Bottle. Hazy, pale straw colored beer with a big white head. Wheat and orange aroma with some yeast. Wheat flavor with very little yeast or spice. Very dry. Could use something to add some depth to it.

I am growing ever fonder of this brewer. Sampled on draft at the State College beer festival this beer poured a ruby chestnut color with a huge red-tan head. There is a strong sweet candy scent. The body is thick and syrupy. The flavor has noted elements of vanilla, molasses and ripe fruits. There is a mild alcohol burn and a sweet finish.

I have had this beer a couple of times and rather liked it. For the purpose of this rating the sample was from the draft at the State College beer festival. It poured a cloudy dark chestnut color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is sweet maple syrup and dark fruits. The flavor is sweet, dark fruits, toffee a bit of tobacco and has elements of molasses and caramel. There is a noticeable alcohol presence. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Very nice.

I have only a limited familiarity with this brewer but have been getting into them a bit recently. Sampled this one on draft at the State College beer festival. It poured a medium golden color with a large creamy off white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity. The flavor is yeasty, bready and has a sour tang of light fruits. There is a nice Belgian candy sugar element coursing through this beer. I think I will definitely be having this one again.

Bottle. Clove, lemon, peach aroma. Light tan yellow color with small quickly disappating head. Tart strong clove flavor (strongest I’ve ever tasted in a wheat beer - really comes out in the aftertaste). Light hints of lemon. I’m not a huge fan of the clove flavor but if you like clove flavor, this would be a good choice.

Dark red. Aroma of raisins, fruit, alcohol. One tasty beer that keeps your buds hopping from one flavor to another - the malts, the raisins, the honey. Good balance of sweet and bitter. The 8.5% alcohol is nicely hidden.

Pour is a copper with a big white head. Aroma is a coriander and clove. Flavor is deffinatly fruity and spicy. Flavor is a bit of a let down but it is still tasty and a ok attempt at the style. No rating for the amount you pay for a beer but this is deffinatly worth it as it only cost me $3.99 for a bomber.

Loads of citrus in this beer. The aroma is dominated by citrus with wheat. Clloudy, dark yellow but nearly no head. The flavor has grapefruit, wheat, coriander, and spices. Actually spicy is a good description for this beer. Better than most of this style.
