Can at Oliver Twist, May 2012. Clear light amber with a small white head. Aroma and taste of hops, grass, caramel and grape. Not spectacular but descent.

Can: Nose is mildy sweet with hints of malt, wheat, and lemon. Tastes heavy with wheat and lighty floral/grassey. Smooth and crisp? Well it sort of is. Nothing really stands out here, but I am really enjoying the body and balance here. Can #6 shows a hazy pale yellow pour with a thick, creamy white head when poured into a glass... Drank the other 5 from the can. A beauty for what it is.

Can: Pours a medium depth brown with a smaller beige head. Carmel and chocolate malts with just a little roast shine through in the nose. Taste is malt-forward with more chocolate and carmel. Light roast and a little nutty. Medium intensity and overall a decent session brew.

Can @ home. Pours a cloudy, golden-orange appearance with a big, off-white head. Spicy yeasty/wheat malty, orange fruity, a bit bready, citrusy aroma. A touch bitter, rich, somewhat spicy wheat malty, somewhat fruity yeasty, orange citrusy flavor. Drinks pretty easy. Probably wouldn’t be a bad beer to chug while fishing and while many will find this a run of the mill wheat ale, I find it to one of the better wheat ales out there.

16oz can poured into a small Corsendonk goblet. I think this is a damn good tripel... or more like a golden Belgian strong. Sure it may be a little sweet but its well done. Aroma has Belgian airiness with some sweet esters (only mild to moderate) and a slightly herbal aspect (not sure from where) to balance it out. Flavor is same, light banana esters in a thick coating of Belgian malts. Again, a faint herbal character and a moderate bitterness to balance it out. Thicker mouthfeel goes in line with the structure of the beer. I think it is well made, not a tripel but Belgian, not overly sweet, drinkable, and the best damn Tripel in a can.

Can: Poured a hazy yellow with a two finger white head. Aroma is citrus fruit. Taste is metallic, fruit, and finish is sweet but very bland with more metal at the back of the palate.

Tallboy can poured into a Sint Christoffel thin tulip glass. Pours with a medium sized head and a hazy dull gold. Aroma is all hops, kind of vegetal, slightly fruity, and dry. Flavor is a slightly bitter with fruity hops. Nothing new, clean behind the hops, not overly dry, not overly sweet. Everything is kind of middle of the rode. Easy drinking, very much in the APA style. I could drink it again or easily forget about it.

On tap at Sugar Maple. Pours a clear orangish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with underlying light sweet fruit and caramel. Flavor is similar with sweetness from sweet bread, cookie and sweet grains with a bit of backing light fruit.

Can 1 pint.Light unclear light to medium yellow - orange amber colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, wood, straw - tea. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, wood, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120320]
