Poured from can at the Roundhouse. Fresh American hop smell right out of the can, with some reason and citrus. Orangey gold color under a big head. Light malts with a side of orange juice. Lots of foam clinging to the plastic cup. It's 80° on October 29, so this gotta right.

2007 bottle. Lots of fun getting the cork extracted. So, over 15 years, this had, of course, settled. Light cherry nose in the bottle. Pours reddish-brown to black, just a very thin room of foam with bits of cork at the edge. The taste is a nice light cherry tart. If they managed a spontaneous fermentation, I'd say that shows as a kind of lactic acid sour. Nothing of about it. I'm glad it turned out so nicely after I've cleared it way longer than I should have. Some dregs at the bottom of the bottle, to be expected, maybe both yeast particles and cherry skin.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy amber gold pour. Rocky beige head. Toasted malt nose hints at citrus and pine. Flavor is bready malt, sweet citrus and a hint of resiny pine. Great balance and flavor throughout. Tasty.

Can from Binny's Chicago. Hazy amber, thin, off-white head. Aroma of biscuit, brioche, caramel, red apple, dried banana, plum. Taste has sweet apple & banana over caramelly, brioche-like, bit nutty maltiness with a yeasty note. Herbal hoppy finish, ripe fruit, caramel and soft liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Pretty good stuff.

Bottle. A- Malt, caramel, mild tea leaves. A- Bronze color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Toasted malt, caramel, dried stone fruits, light sweetness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Quite a pleasant surprise. Not sure it's true to the style but I enjoyed it a lot.
