Ever so slightly hazy copper and light bronze coloured body with a thinnish, very fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of bitter malt, light alcohol, crisp grain, a touch of light hops with very low alpha acids and a bit of sweetness at the end that shows of some fruits. Medium-bodied; Strong nutty and very grainy malt flavours dominate here with only a touch of hops or bitterness at all - there is more bready and yeastie qualities than anything from hops. Aftertaste shows the malty and nutty qualities, but leaves a lot to be desired, especially in terms of bitterness and hoppy flavours, with only a dose of bitterness and cardboardie malt with some nutty qualities around the edges. Overall, a decent beer at best, and definitely not a good beer for this style or any of the IPA-family, but even more sad considering this was to celebrate an anniversary - one that should be done at a much higher standard. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Joe Canal's Discount Liqour in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 21-Otober-2018 for US$1,89 sampled at home in Washington on 30-April-2019.
