g12oz bottle pours with a clear deep copper colored body that supports a thin off white head of foam bubbles. The aroma offers up sweet smelling malts, nutmeg, cinnamon and a spicy pumpkin like sensation. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of smooth integrated winter spices as well as soft thin barrel character notes and then a sliver or two of pumpkin. This is integrated really well with a pleasing depth and degree of interest. Solid offering.

Tap at Drunk Uncle. I don't even know what to think of this monstrosity. Grape/blackberry forward, but straight up aggressively boozy which dominates it. Completely brutal, hard to get through my 8oz pour. Maybe interesting lightly blended with something else but as is not that good.

Nitro at DU. Perhaps nitro doesn't accentuate the flavors here, perhaps I'm used to the 15% beers prior to this. Rather mild..porterish. Grows on me each sip, Reese's undertones growing.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Menomonee Falls, 11/24/22. Pale orange, slight haze. Thin white head, average retention. Aroma of wheat, dog hair, yeast, lemon. Weird. Taste is lemon, bready malt. Crisp. A little weird, but it's decent.

12oz bottle. Rich, sweet, sugary. The body just comes off sweet and creamy, no real balance like a good classical Imperial Stout. Chocolate and coffee are both there, both sort of bland, coffee in particular. Barrel is sort of mild at first too, but begins to show up some after a few sips. Kind of a dumbed down sugar forward version of the Black Friday beer. OK.

12 oz bottle via John, gracias, 11/21/22. Clear amber color with a beige head and moderate lace. Caramel, bread, honey, and grain aroma. Similar to the aroma, but oddly overly sweet and slightly off on the taste. Yeah, the flavor is just not very good. Not the most creative criticism of all time by me here, but this is a No for me dogg. Mouthfeel is weird too, sticky, cloying up front, finishes almost stale. Hope they give this guy another turn and he does a better job next time? That's all I got.

Tap at Lakefront. Not really that dark, more of a Mexican Polotmavy...which is kind of tasty. Filtered amber light brown body. Thin, steady head, crappy pour that left some empty space...your classic 13oz pint. The chocolate malt adds great flavor here, almost that cacao feel...lots of malt character. Right in Lakefront's wheelhouse, well done.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 10/27/22. Hazy amber, medium tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, toffee, apricot, oak, bready malt. Taste is apricot, oak, bready malt, caramel, raisin, toffee, vanilla, hint of brandy. For the high ABV, booze is pretty well hidden. Just a touch. Full body, a bit of tartness. Nice.

A true to style Berliner, no syrupy adjuncts! Easy light to medium body. Lemony, wheat, tangy sour tone. Refreshing, easy drinking, well executed. The aroma is a little funky, barnyardy perhaps some off tones underneath it all. OK.
