Can (BB 1/20/26) from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Lightly hazy, honey brown, no sparkle, huge head (burst out of the can) with excellent retention, and splotchy lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, light citrus and apricot. Taste is super strong caramel, milder pine, hint of citrus. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. This reminds me of all those traditional/West Coast IPA/DIPA that I purchased at a discount after their best-by date 10 years ago when I started rating. But, that was when those hops had decayed beyond recognition. This is still three weeks before their freshness date ends! Likely what they wanted. Just not great.

Tropical fruit (mango) with clementine and peach. Some oxidation and some caramel. I guess they don't want it to be a New England style, which is fine, but that's not an excuse to use a bunch of caramel malt.
Caramel and bread with toast and tropical hop notes. The hops are done well, with light but ample bitterness and a good, fruity, juiciness. But this caramel malt, with its sweetness, bread and toast has to go....

12 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you! Aroma is caramel malt and very slight pine. Flavor follows with just a little bit of citrus. A lot of caramel malt. This is about as classic an old-school as you possibly can get. Almost reminds me of an old Sierra Nevada pale ale.

12oz can. A perfectly suitable offering for Lakefront. Mild, easy, down the middle. This would be a welcome regular addition to the Lakefront line up in some dream scenario where they stop making hazy rabbit. Smooth malts, pleasant hops, good balance. Enjoyable.

12oz can. Kind of a gross, oily, unappetizing aroma, when brewers who can't make smoked beers make smoked beers. The flavor is a little better, but the style is just a mess..rye isn't really what you would want here. Comes off an inexpert, oily mess. Perhaps the worst example of the style I've had.

12oz can. Rather Insipid pale lager. Drinkable, but really close to a macro feel in a bad way. I would rather drink this than Miller Lite, but a wholly unimpressive offering.

Half liter stein at the Estabrook Beer Garden in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The pour is a clear golden with a foamy white head that leaves behind nice lace. The aroma is faint cereal grain, along with some bright citrus. The taste is clean cereal grain, a soft lime, fruit sweetness and finishes clean with some hay. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and the crispy clean finish. Super easy drinking.

12oz can pours a murky amber, huge white head. Nose is huge with booze and raisin and baking spice. Flavor has a lot of apples over the malt body, spices, ginger. Full bodied and spicy. Full, sweet.

Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin, some mild caramel, mild wood and a bit spiciness to it. Flavour is spices, some floral tones with mild toffee and some fruity tones too.
