A - Gorgeous color. Blood red color 2 finger head fades to nice lacing
S - Cinnamon almost comes through spicy on the nose. I don’t get a lot of floral characters
T - Very tart. I get hibiscus and a lot of honeysuckle characters. Medium body. Finish Is a little boozy with the peach whiskey coming through. Sweet and cinnamon is more on the nose than in taste.
M - Standard mouthfeel, quite oily, tartness is sticky and stays around. I get some tooth enamel chapping sort of feel.
O - All of the Crooked Stave Petite Sour beers have been great. This is no exception.

Bottle. Horseblanket, lemon and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate but long-lasting head. Tart lemon, Brett and dry wheat malt flavor. Very good - lambic-like.

Bottle 2013 batch #3. Pours with a hazed, vibrant golden yellow hue with a medium sized white head. Aromas are strongly citrusy and zesty, tangelo, fennel, blood orange, black pepper, moderate phenols, grains of paradise and a light tropical funk. Flavors are very complex, phenolic and spicy. Star anise, grains of paradise, fennel, very dry, tangerine and mango with mildly bready grain and funk. Can get a touch plasticky at moments as it warms. Lightly vinous. Quite delicious. Lively bubbles, very drinkable, lightly tart, medium bodied. Perhaps a touch too spicy, but very delicious.

Bottle at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. A hazy orange colored beer with a white head. Brett, lemon, orange and a pale malts touch. Full body, dry, lightly tart and with an appropriate high level of carbonation. Lasting flavor with a touch of orange and some bitterness. Pretty nice this one. 130817

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a large white puffy had and great lacing. Aroma is brett, funk, citrus. Flavor is the same, fruity, citrus, funky, barnyard, light initial sweetness dries out quickly. Not getting a lot of wood, or for that matter coriander or other spices that are typical for a witbeer. This is a nice beer, but wits aren’t my favorite starting point for a Brett beer.

Refrigerated 12.7 oz. brown bottle 2013 batch 5, compliments of adnielson, poured into a trappist glass. Pours hazy pale golden with medium white head which disspates fairly quickly. Tart aroma, medium carbonation which goes away quickly, medium body, and no lacing. Taste is tart, vinuous, oak, some yeast, and some fruit. Complex flavors, but so easy to drink. This is a very good beer.
