Incredibly sour! Lovely fruit profile, tart, acidic and sweet. Looks nice in the glass but maybe a bit old at this point. Generously shared by Colin at Hill Farmstead. Would love to have had this one fresh.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dishwater gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is mildly bretty with some pissy/fruity aspects. So it’s good, so far. Med body. Flavor is bretty/funky/earthy/ citrus/fruity. So it’s still good. It’s finishing the same way, so it’s still good. Actually, it’s frickin brilliant!

Bottle thanks to the Dood! Pours a hazy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of oak and dry red wine with a nice backing sour berry note that has a touch of acid. Flavor is similar with rich sour berries that are backed by a light oak note and just a touch of dryness.

Bottle shared by Jesse at John’s house. Pours caramel brown with white head. Nose and taste of peach whiskey, caramel, oak, cherry and vanilla. Medium acidity.

Refrigerated 375 ml brown bottle, from adnielson, poured into a weizen glass. Pours tranlucent pale golden with small white head. Sour brett aroma, medium body, low carbonation, smooth texture, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is tart brett, tangelo, and rich malt. Interestingly different.

Notes from last night. Aroma is dominated by the spices with lots of turmeric and other spices. Hints of honey but no malt, yeast or hops in the sons. Not very fruity but more citrus as it warms. Ours a surprisingly clear golden yellow with a large pillowy white head. Head is fairly this and recedes somewhat quickly to the edge. Very little lacing. Flavor is slightly sweet upfront. Spice notes are more moderate in the flavor and the fruit is more apparent. Surprisingly large amount of like virus in the flavor. Finish has some light Brett funk to it. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency with low alcohol warmth. Overall a much more enjoyable beer than WWBR, but where WWBR was all Brett and nothing else this beer is mostly the spices with very little Brett character. The spices dominate but they work well together and make for a very refreshing beer.

Notes from last night. Aroma is quite a bit muted. Some light floral notes with some faint tropical fruit and Brett funk. Not much going on in the aroma and smells a bit washed out. We have lift off! This beer was quite the gusher. Pours a copper amber with a big pillowy off white head that recedes very quickly leaving pretty much no lacing. Flavor starts sweet with a light tartness. Not much major character but there is a hint of stake make in the finish. Moderate pineapple and cherry pie notes but also a hint of oxidation and honey. Not much hibiscus or rose. Light bitterness with a somewhat sweet finish. More Brett character as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency with low alcohol warmth. Overall an alright beer to showcase the Brett and flavor additions but the base beer doesn’t show through at all. I was kind of expecting more from this one.
