Bottle from 23 may 2013. Pours a fudgy near black hue with a large tan head that last. Aromas are of dark fruits, prunes and dates, balsamic, acetobacter, wet wood and funk. Rum raisins. Flavors are boozy and extremely vinous. Sour, dark fruits, alcohol, currants, wet barrel. Tart and off dry. Tannic and woody finish. Lively, dry.

Slightly cloudy golden with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma of brett and ripe fruit. Flavors of ripe fruit, brett, citrus with a dry finish

May 20/2013 Bottle. Pours with a very deep brown hued body with a tan head that lasts. Aromas are of damp leaves, rich funk, brown sugar, walnut, vinous, rich barrel, toasted malt, medium brett. Flavors are highly acidic and clean, low acetic, toasty, light barrel. Very high acid, moderate funk. Clean, tart and bone dry. More acidic and less malt than the original.

Bottle. Pours with a murky golden yellow hued body with a large white head. Great lace. Aromas are of oak, floral, medium stone fruit, wood tannins, brett, juicy, black pepper and apricot. Flavors are of tart fruit, stone fruit, grainy, phenolic black, pepper, candied ginger, sweet and tart candies. Caramelized wood character, vanillin, mild brett, medium acidity. High tannin, lively carbonation, woody. Lively carbonation, dry, tasty, as are the others.

Bottle (batch 7/may/2013). Pours with a blood red hue and a pink head that fades. Aromas are of popcorn, medium wood, funky, light citrus, cinnamon, strong alcohol, barrel tannins, stone fruit, hay, quite complex. White wine, vinous, tart. Flavors are of cotton candy sweetness, dry, vinous white wine finish, vanillin, tart tannins. Abrupt finish, a touch of stone fruit. Oak, sour, good, very tart. Slightly confused. Lightly acetic, medium bodied, dry, medium high carbonation. Overall, tart, tannic and bone dry with not much left, I kind of crave a bit off a brett ester, or something else to round out the finish.

375mL capped bottle poured into St. Bernardus tasting glass. A pale golden color atop a small head. Aroma is nicely breath - kind of horse blanket with a bit of soft sweet sweat. Floral and faint phenolics. A good aroma is follows up by a striped out flavor. Seems like the brett has stripped the flavor away. Some light paint thinner brett. I think I get some of that tangelo at the end of flavor. It’s like a perfume dry citrus.

Cellar Reserve ’13 Exclusive. Enjoyed at 50F in a wine glass
A - Pours a burgundy dark red to brown appearance. minimal head. not much to speak of on cloudiness, head, lacing, etc.
S - This has that classic Rodenbach nose. Sour cherries, huge oak presence. I don’t get any of the Whiskey barrel on the nose.
T - Pretty acetic, the start is just like regular Origins but at the middle, something amazing happens, something really really special. PEACHES!!!! It’s just this almost fake peach syrup taste but honestly, it’s pretty damn unique. It’s like sucking on a peach sour candy. There’s a lot of vanilla, a hint of toasted coconut and some biscuity taste as well. The finish, is slightly boozy and reminds me a lot of butterscotch candies. very unique and totally worth drinking the 12oz by yourself.
M - slick, medium body, boozy finish
O - Incredibly unique. Really great and I love the butterscotch taste. Makes me want more and more and more.

Bottle. Almost clear golden liquid with medium white head. Aroma of lemons, white pepper, barnyard, citrus peel, bread and bubblegum. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of lemons, barnyard, white pepper and bread. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Really nice.
