Description

Clear dark amber with a white head. Caramel aroma with some coriander. Taste is sweet at first but ends in a fairly bitter finish. Warming alcohol presence. Bit harsh but not unpleasant at all.

33 cl. bottle @ home, shared with Alex and Suus. Gift from Lilah. Black pour with a thin beige head. Roasted malts aroma with lots of bourbon and peated whisky. Sweet taste with a very peaty finish. Not the most subtlest barrel aged stout but as Laphroaig happens to be my favorite whisky I'm not complaining at all.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij Culemobrg. Amber with a thin white head. Smoky aroma with some caramel and some orange. Sour taste with a little sweetness and a fairly bitter finish. Complex in the sense that each sip brings new sensations, which is a thing truly great beers should do. Very nice unusual beer

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear dark golden with a white head. Yeasty biscuity bready aroma. Sweet taste. Weird smooth mouthfeel. Tastes like something went wrong and they had to adjust with sugar or something. But it still ended up as a tasty beer. Weird.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2018) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with fresh black coffee, dark chocolate, black rye bread and a balanced coffee bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced porter, with a fresh coffee touch. Nice one.
