Bottle. Malt aroma with banana and cherry - very nice. Yellow tan color - slightly cloudy with ample, lasting head. Slightly tart malt flavor - subtle banana/clove- not much sweetness. Nice full body. A nice Weizen more on the malt side.

Bottle. Balance wheaty malt and banana aroma. Dark tan slightly cloudy color with ample, expanding head. Very light malt and banana flavor - way too light for a dunkelweizen. Pleasant but weak.

Bottle. Strong molasses malt aroma with slight hops. Cola brown color with decent head. Chocolate malt flavor with high carbonation - palate a bit weak. Overall nice.

Rerate: German version bottled at Kaltenberg Adria, Kukuljanovo. Pale golden body, white head. Eggy, malty aroma, some mild herbal hops. Sweetish mild taste, eggs, hay, honey, quite a rustic pilsner really, medium to light body. Vague herbal hops around the edges, trace bitterness in the finish. Quite drinkable, despite the vaguely unappealing grainy aftertaste. While ostensibly better than most macro lagers in Croatia, Kaltenberg's pils is hardly thrilling compared to a lot of comparable German fare from the region, not really being pilsnerish. Nostalgia can only take one so far... Original rating, contract brewed by Jadranska Pivovara - 18.9.2004. Almost 14 years old. Wow! I guess that the version brewed by Jadranska pivovara in Croatia is a bit different than the original one. And reading the other reviews, I realized it’s probably better. The croatian version (really popular with the physical workers), has a rather pleasant aroma and flavor, with maybe a sweet touch in the aftertaste. 5/3/6/3/12

Brown, hazy colour. Typical weissbier-head. Yeasty aroma with some notes of banana. Yeast-dry flavour. Somewhat sourish. Surprisingly light-bodied.

Hazy orange color, good foamy white head. Mild citron-banana flavor, a bit yeasty. Good, refreshing palate. Crisp citric mouthfeel with sweet banana notes hiding there somewhere. A bit sour aftertaste. Very good summer beer, more sour than sweet hefeweizen.

Pleasant but in general an uninspiring hefeweizen. +++Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle. Label says Konig Ludwig Weiss. Pours a light amber color with some floaters and a medium sized white head. The scent is wheaty and yeasty. The flavor is slightly sour wheat. A light toasted flavor lingers. There is a slightly "off" taste I can not identify.
