Although they don't know how to make a decent pilsener, the germans sure can brew good wheats! This one is a fine piece of german wheat brewing. (500 ml bottle, under its alias König Ludwig Weissbier). Cloudy blond colour, large head. Lovely aroma of ripe bananas and cloves. Light bodied, some cloves in the flavour, refreshing. Like most weissbiers a short aftertaste, but what there is, is good.

Served in a tall Konig Ludwig glass, without a lemon. The beer was just like every german wheat, hazy pale yellow with a very dense pale white colour. The aroma was subdued, not too much to it. A few floral notes, and the typical yeastie smell. The taste was mild but pretty good. Defiately easy on the palate with no complex flavours to deal with. A great all-around german wheat which should be tasted if you can find it. Tasted on Tap under the name: Konig Ludwig Weissbier at MacGregor's in Rochester, New York.

An unclear dark yellow beer with a flat head. The aroma is a lovely wheaty aroma with a slight sweetness to it. The flavor is slightly flat wheaty flavor with an OK sweetness but too little wheat. It ends on a weak bitterness. A really refreshing summer beer - but other than that a boring too flat too thin beer. Enjoy it in the sun.

Opaque yellow color with white head.Light citrus yeast nose and flavor. Quite refreshing, and true to style, but I'm not a fan of this type of yeasty brew

An unclear (unfiltered) amber beer with an OK head. It has a very powerful aroma of fruit, probably because it''s topfermented. It has a very wheaty (unmalted) taste - of a nice malt blend but is pretty sour. It''s an OK beer, but nothing special.
